SOMNATH RAGHUNATH MARATHE
An social worker, politician, Somnath Marathe straddles several cities of experience. Currently a Third-term corporator of Surat Muncipal corporation of ward number 24 Udhna South constituency as well as Vice Chairman of TP committee, he has previously served as a chairman of PWD ,chairman of drainage committee and standing committee member .
Born in babhlaj, shirpur, Maharashtra belongs to very poor family came to surat for work. He has always been interested in helping people . Because of his hardwork and dedication different parties approach him. He is very strong opiniated ,confident and one of the favorite leader in his constituency because of which udhna navsari member of parliament and current BJP president SHRI C R PAATIL ask him to join BJP. He joins bJP and won the election in 2010. In this tenure he has been appointed as chairman of drainage committee for one year and standing committee member .
He has also been appointed as convenor of safai abhiyaan mission . He also had got an opportunity to clean the city of honrable prime minister shri NARENDRA MODI constituency which is varanasi. Not only he is good leader but also he is good social worker he had been selected as national president of suryavanshi kshatriya maratha samaj because of his tremendous contribution towards society.
